TANNIE
(5 year old Griffon X)
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with kids: Unknown/will update shortly
Good with cats: Unknown/will update shortly
Tannie is an adorable girl despite her being used as a breeding machine
for all of her short 5 years life, 10 litters in all, she now needs a
well earned rest from raising all these puppies over the years, so she
is looking for a great family so she can be part of their lives and a
special part of the family now, seeing as she has worked so hard in her
previous life.
Tannie is a funny girl with heaps of character and little quirks, she
is happy all the time and when she smiles she shows off 2 of her front
teeth which gives her this really cute look. Tannie sleeps
through the night, she is not a barker she is housetrained as long as
she has access to outside, she can use a doggy door, she is a great
little car traveler as well, she is just a great gal and cute to boot.
Tannie's idea home would be as the second dog in the family but she
cannot be an only dog if the family were away all day as she would not
cope being on her own.
Tannie is desexed, microchipped, wormed, C5 vaccinated and heartworm
tested and available for $350.

energy and is looking for a new home where he will get plenty of
exercise, either playing with a current dog or having an active,

who enjoys all the parts and attention he can get but also is happy
just lying quietly in the same room as you. He is housetrained,
good in the car, is friendly towards other dogs and loves being with
people. Max will bark when someone is around the house but then

TRIXIE
(Female Terrier x) 9 years old
Totally devoted to you, that’s Trixie! She is a sweet and friendly dog
with heaps lot of love and devotion to give. She has a very endearing
personality and really enjoys being close to you. She’s not clingy
though so will happily go off wandering and sniffing around the garden.
Trixie is happy to be handled enjoying a pat or a brush or just a plain
old cuddle. She gets super excited when you come home and loves to meet
and greet friends and family. Trix doesn’t chew dig or climb is
housetrained and sleeps very quietly through the night. She walks well
on the lead and enjoys a run off lead. In fact, when you let her off
lead she runs and runs and runs - not sure how long it’s been since
she’s run free like this but she absolutely revels in it.
As much as she likes this running around off lead she will obediently
run back to you if you call her! Even though Trix is nine years old she
has a good activity level and is a healthy dog with no medical
problems. Her gentle, companionable nature would mean she’d be a great
friend for someone who was home a lot of the time. Trixie is good with
other dogs and actually grew up with three dogs but sadly her owner had
to go into a nursing home and give them up. Their previous owner did
all she could to find them a home so they wouldn’t end up in the pound.
Medical Notes: Trixie is a little
overweight but with regular exercise and a good diet the pounds are
already coming off.
Trixie is desexed, C5 vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and heartworm
free and available for $150.

HAZEL
is a small terrier mix girl who is aged approx 2 years.
Hazel is a loving and affectionate little girl who loves the company of
her people. She is in lovely condition, has a very easy care coat which
doesn't shed much and has the most gorgeous pleading eyes. She is happy
to mix with other dogs, is very good with cats and children, travels
beautifully in the car and is housetrained.
Hazel also comes when called on or off lead, is quiet and has a
friendly happy nature. Hazel would suit a large variety of homes
because she gets along with everyone, however I would prefer a home
where she has lots of company from her family or at the very least the
company of another dog while her family is out. She is an easy to
please little girl who is a pleasure to have around.
Hazel is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, desexed and available for
$250.

SWEETIE
(Shih-tzu x Pomeranian, 8 yrs old)
Sex: Female
Size: Small
Good with people: Yes
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with cats:Yes
Good with kids: Unknown
Sweetie is a lovely girl, who has come into foster care because her
owner is unable to take Sweetie with her into a nursing home. She is a
fairly quiet girl, who gets along with people, the cats, and the other
dogs in her foster home.
She is a real gem of a dog, as she has a loving, easygoing personality,
with just a hint of cheekiness thrown in.
Sweetie just loves to be around her humans. Her favourite times are
going for walks, and cuddling up on the sofa in the evening.
Sweetie is housetrained and sleeps throught the night. Her lovely shiny
coat is like a Pomeranians, so she will need brushing once a week to
keep her coat looking good and knot free.
Sweetie would be fine as an only dog, if her owners were home a lot of
the time. Because she can get overwhelmed, she would be best suited to
a home without children, or with quiet children over 12yrs old.
Sweetie is desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and wormed, and is
available for $350.

POLLY
(Standard Poodle Female 8 years old)
Polly is a purebred standard poodle who is to die for. She is 8 years
young and well past the naughty and chewy stage but still greatly
enjoys playing with the other dogs. She is a "perfect " dog, very happy
to mix with any dog at all, and happy to share her home with kids and
cats.
She also travels perfectly in the car, is housetrained, never barks,
loves a walk and is happy and laid back all the time. She is a very
beautiful big girl who will be very hard to part with. Polly would like
a new home with people who will love her and make her a true member of
the family and also take good care of her coat.
She will need regular clips, or if you would rather let it grow long,
lots of grooming. Polly loves other dogs so would be better suited as a
playmate and companion to an existing dog. She will be ready to go to a
new home around the end of the month, if you can prise her away from
me.
We are happy to meet with interested families any time so if you can
offer her a spot in your home please contact Fiona.
Polly is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, heartworm free and desexed
for $350.

POCKETS (Mastiff X,
female, approx 3 years old)
Pockets is a gorgeous and sweet girl. She is well-mannered, social,
obedient and very committed to her humans. Pockets has been very
tolerant with pups, and is playful and social with dogs of various
sizes, and gentle enough to respect older dogs too. She loves a ride in
the car and to go for walks. Pockets has a short, easy care coat and
would be a wonderful companion dog and walking buddy. Her favourite
time of day is late afternoon when she knows she will be able to
welcome you home. Pockets would be okay as an only dog provided she was
actively included as part of the family, but would also love the
companionship of a doggy playmate.
If you would love to include Pockets in your family and let her know
just how special she is, then I'd love to hear from you.
Pockets is desexed, C5 vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, heartworm free

TRINKET (Staffy X
whippet, female, 8 months)
Meet Trinket, the good time girl!
We are really not sure what breed Trinket is, but boy does she know how
to have fun! Trinket is a playful girl who loves to run around with her
doggy mates, big or small, male or female, and boy is she quick!
Trinket will make a wonderful companion for another active dog. She is
also very sweet and affectionate with her foster humans, regularly
checking in for a pat or cuddle, so would make a lovely family
companion.
Trinket has shown some natural curiosity with cats, but has learnt very
quickly not to stick her nose where it's not welcome. She is a smart
girl and is adapting very quickly to her foster home. She is currently
learning sit and mealtime manners and is doing very well. Like all
young dogs, Trinket would do well in a home who could give her regular
exercise and continue her training.
If you are looking for a doggy playbuddy and youthful family companion,
then I'd love to hear from you.
Trinket is desexed, C5 vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, heartworm free
and available for $270.

RUSTY (medium male
mixed breed dog)
Rusty will make someone a wonderful, faithful
companion. He is a lovely, soft natured boy who likes nothing better
than to please his humans. He is intelligent, learns quickly and is
very obedient. He walks very nicely on lead (no pulling!) and is
excellent off lead- keeping close to his handler and "reporting back"
often. He also comes when called and sits patiently when you want to
put the lead on.
Rusty is also very loving and affectionate, he
just loves his cuddles.
He also likes other dogs and is very playful with most, although he is
slightly dominant with other dominant males.
Rusty would love to find a home where he would be part of the family
and allowed inside when his people are home. He is perfectly behaved
indoors, never chews on things and is toilet trained.
He is lively and energetic when on walks or at play, but quite settled
otherwise and travels well in the car.
He loves playing in water!
Rusty would be a great companion for another
playful and friendly doggie, but also would be suitable as an only dog,
providing he'd get enough attention and daily walks.
Rusty is desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and
wormed, and is available for $250.

JANIE (Corgi cross, 7
years approx)
Size: Small (11 kilos)
Good with people: Yes
Good with gentle kids: Yes
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Yes
What a delightful girl Janie is, such a sweetheart and a happy contented
pooch. Janie is an all round no fuss girl, she is housetrained, she
sleeps through the night, she is a great little car traveler as well.
Janie loves to go for walks and also loves to swim in the lake when she
can and when she is allowed!!! Janie has basic obedience ie she knows
sit, drop, wait/leave it which is all you need from Janie as she is
such a good girl.
She loves to play and spend time with her family, she needs to be part
of the family and be allowed to come and go when her owners are at
home. Janie sleeps inside at night on her bed and you don't hear a peep
out of her and she is clean during the night as well.
Janie needs to be the second dog in the family as she would not cope on
her own if her owners were away all day, she would also be fine as an
only dog but ONLY if one of the owners was retired and spent most of
their time at home apart from the usual domestic chores away from the
home.
Janie loves kids so would also suit a family with older children so if
you have been looking for a clean, quiet, happy, contented, great
personality girl who has all her own teeth, her hearing is fine,
eyesight good and at 7 years of age she still has quite a few more GOOD
years in her then maybe Janie is the girl for you.
Don't be put off by Janie's photos as she does not like the camera but
I can assure you that she is better looking in the flesh.
Janie is desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and
wormed, and is available for $350.

SALLIE (Chihuahua X, 3 years old)
Good with people: Yes
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with cats: No
Good with kids: Yes with older children
Sallie is a sociable friendly little dog, who will, after the initial
introduction invite anyone to play ball with her. She is so enthralled
by fetching ball that she obtains most of her exercise in this way.
Sallie has fitted into her new foster home without any problems and has
even managed to coax my 13 year old poodle/terrier cross into a little
playful romping (which is quite a feat).
Sallie sleeps through the night and she is fully house trained, she can
use a dog door and she is quick to pick up new things and the routine
in the house. Whilst Sallie is fairly active when it comes to playing
ball, in the quiet times she is just as happy sitting tightly curled up
on your lap or in the crook of your arms. Her other positive attributes
are that she's not frightened of thunder, is easy to bath, likes a
short walk a couple of times a week and she would adapt to new people
and a new routine with ease.
When you meet Sallie it is obvious that her front legs are a little
shorter than her back legs. However, this seems to cause her no
discomfort or difficulty getting around and she should be problem free
well into her teens. If anything, it adds to her appeal because she
seems so unaware of looking different.
Sallie would thrive in a family with another small dog for company so
they could chase each other around the yard and be friends and keep
each other company during the day. As Chihuahuas are not the best breed
for small children Sallie would be happy if any children in the family
were 8-9 years old or older.
Sallie really is a delightful girl who is just looking for her forever
home.
Sallie is desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and wormed, and is
available for $350.

GORDIE
(Corgi x) about 4 years old
Sex: Male
Size: Small
Good with people: Yes
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with cats:Yes
Good with kids: Yes
Gordie is one special boy who is happy all the time, affectionate,
loves people, other dogs of all sizes, fine with cats just an all round
gorgeous boy. Gordie is housetrained, and sleeps through the night,
loves a walk most days (he needs to lose weight so would benefit from a
short walk) Gordie will sit and wait for his dinner.
Gordie just loves to be around his humans. He loves to be near you but
not under your feet. He greets visitors at the front door without
barking and is generally a very quiet dog. Gordie is looking for a home
in a friendly environment where his loyal personality will endear him
to his new owners. Gordie needs to have another dog for company as he
would not cope being on his own all day while the family are at work or
school.
Gordie needs to be an inside dog at night, as Canberra’s winters are
very cold for any dog to be outside, he needs to be allowed to come and
go when the family are at home and he needs to feel he belongs and know
that he is part of the family. I can’t praise Gordie enough he is one
special boy who deserves to be with his forever family and give them
everything they need and he needs the same, so if you are looking for
an all round little dog that will share your life then I would say
Gordie is the boy for your family.
Gordie is desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and wormed, and is
available for $350.

SUNNY
(Maltese x) 4 years old
Sunny is a character dog who is looking for his
'forever home'. His ideal home would be one where he gets to spend a
lot of time with his owners, cuddling and chatting with them, and
occasionally going for a walk. A retired or semi-retired person would
be perfect for Sunny, and he for them.
Sunny has lots of wonderful quirks that make him entertaining and a joy
to spend time with. He does a very excited dance when he is happy, he
talks to himself (wooo, wooo, wooo) and he has an expression for every
occasion and emotion (his foster carers favourite is the look he has
after he's rubbed his head on the floor - he stares up at you with his
fur sticking up all over the place and a suprised expression!)
Sunny enjoys the company of other gentle dogs. He loves his people most
of all though and likes to be around you if possible. He travels well
in the car, and loves getting out and about for a walk or a trip. He is
house trained too.
Sunny is a gorgeous dog will make a wonderful, loving companion.
Sunny is best suited to a quiet home without children as their
boisterous play frightens him.
Sunny has had a name change! He used to be called Wellington, but he
didn't like that and prefers to come to "Sunny" instead.
Sunny is desexed, C5 vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, heartworm tested
and available for $350.

CLANCY
- is a big goofy pup with a soft heart
Breed: Crossbreed
Age: Approx 11 months
Size: Large
Sex: Desexed male
Clancy's New Year wish is to find his loving 'forever' home.
If you’re into large dogs and have a sense of humour then Clancy could
be just the dog for you!
Clancy was rescued from a country pound and is very grateful for being
saved. He was described by the pound as a Labrador x Border Collie but
he kept growing and now appears to be a Border Collie x Ridgeback,
judging by his size and body shape. He’ll mature at about 58 or 60cm in
height
Clancy’s a happy, outgoing boy who loves people and other dogs and is
very interested in the cat who he tries to play with by pouncing on
him. He loves playing with his foster brothers and any other dog who
enjoys a robust game of tag, spending time with his foster mum, or just
sharing some 'down time' on the sofa watching telly. But he’s not
allowed to have the remote!
He loves toys and easily amuses himself in the yard with them. He’s
very entertaining with his antics. He's also learning basic obedience,
and comes when called, sits, drops, and shakes hands. Clancy is a keen
pupil and loves to earn his food rewards during training. He’s an
inquisitive and sociable young boy and would love to continue these
activities with his new family at one of the local dog training clubs.
Clancy would suit a variety of homes and will be a wonderful, loyal
companion to anyone living alone, to a couple, or a family with teenage
children (due to his size). He would enjoy the company of another
active dog playmate if his family are away from home for long periods
of time, and would need to be included in his new family's activities.
Clancy enjoys car rides and travels well in the car. He’s toilet
trained and sleeps quietly inside at night. He has a short, shiny, easy
care coat which requires very little grooming. With his short coat,
Clancy will need to sleep inside in cold weather. He’s a good watchdog
and will let you know when someone is around, but he’s a big sooky boy
and not suitable as a guard dog.
Clancy has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and wormed and is
available for $280.
Clancy is available for adoption but a yard check is required.
If you'd like to meet Clancy, please contact his foster carer Sue
on 02 6238 2993 or 0418 632 754

BRUNO
( Shepherd X male) Approx. 12 months
Meet Bruno the supermodel! Wherever there is a camera, have no fear,
Bruno will be there striking a pose! With model looks and a sweet,
endearing personality, Bruno could really be the man of your dreams!
Bruno is an extremely loyal and affectionate dog, who wants to hang out
with his people wherever they are, enjoying cuddles, pats, tummy rubs
and just laying at your feet. He is a great doggy playmate, always
enjoying a romp or chase game with his foster buddies. Bruno also loves
water and to splash around.
Bruno is also very intelligent, can sit on command, walks or runs on
lead, has great mealtime manners, is responsive to commands and eager
to please. He would also be a good deterrent to unwanted visitors
because of his commanding presence, but is not a nuisance barker.
In the past, people have clearly not been so kind to him, so Bruno is
looking for a special owner or owners, who know that with a little
time, love and commitment they will have a devoted companion for life.
Bruno would suit a single person or couple who could actively include
him as part of their family. He would make a great jogging or walking
buddy, a gardening companion and buddy to share the couch with at
night. If you would like to meet this special guy, he'd love to hear
from you!
Bruno is desexed, C5 vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, heartworm free
and available for $270.

TIGER
(male Greyhound) about 18 months old
Tiger is stunningly handsome, and a very friendly and outgoing young
man. He greets us enthusiastically when we come home, loves smooches
and cuddles, and will rub up against you like a cat. Tiger prefers to
be indoors with us when we are home, and is perfectly toilet-trained.
He is very inquisitive, and likes to follow you around and 'help out'
with household chores.
Tiger is currently used to being outside during the day while we are at
work, but comes inside when we get home and potters around or curls up
on the couch for a spot of TV watching. He is a bit of a bowerbird, and
will ‘collect' things from around the house and put them in his bed -
very cute! He doesn't usually chew things... but at the moment he has a
thing for plastic bottles, so we give him the empty milk bottles, which
can keep him amused for ages :)
Tiger is quite playful, and loves a game of chase or soccer. He also
likes to go for walks, and does not pull on the lead, but does like to
meander about sniffing and exploring. Tiger gets on well with other
medium/large dogs after he gets to know them, but I am sure he thinks
he is a person as he prefers human company to that of other dogs. He
wouldn't be suitable for a home with cats or small dogs.

RALPH
(Belgian Shepherd X) 4 years old approx
Good with people: Absolutely Fabulous
Good with kids: Unknown
Good with cats:No
I cannot praise Ralph enough and as I am a small dog person (I have
always found big dogs scary) I just adore this man, he is the sweetest
natured big dog that I have had the pleasure of knowing.
He really is a gentle giant who just wants to be everyone’s friend. He
doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and gets on well with dogs of all
sizes, as you can see with the picture of him and the Foxie cross.
Prior to being rescued, Ralph didn’t have much training and no
socializing with anything really but he is such an agreeable and
cooperative dog that training him would be a breeze and because of his
size and breed he needs a responsible new owner who will ensure that
Ralph gets the training that he requires. His coat will just need a
brush a couple of times a week to remove the hair from his undercoat.
Ralph is initially inquisitive with strangers and is not intimidating
to them at all (so no worries about him jumping on your guests) but
with calm patient handling, once he knows that you will not hurt him
his shyness is quickly replaced with gentle displays of affection and a
friendly interest in whatever you’re doing.
Ralph is a reasonably sedate dog and he would love a daily walk. Ralph
is not a barker, he is housetrained, sleeps through the night and he
needs to go to a home where he has a doggie companion for company, be
allowed to come and go and be allowed to sleep inside in winter,
outside is fine in summer. He would be equally happy with an owner who
is home most of the time so that the 2 of them could just chill out and
become the best of friends as this is all that Ralph asks for in life;
someone he can trust, bond to and be their loyal companion.
Ralph will make an attentive, affectionate companion and a very
endearing new pet for some lucky family.
Ralph is desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and wormed, and is
available for $350.

Age: 9 Months approx
Coat: Short
Colour: Black/White

PRINCESS
9 months old
Princess is a gorgeous young girl, who was recently rescued from the
pound along with her two tiny kittens, Diamond and Pearl (rehomed). She
has been a great mum to her two babies especially considering she is
only a baby herself. She is a very gentle, smoochy girl who loves
nothing more than a cuddle. She is quite petite and slender and
certainly resembles the regal name she has been given. She will
hopefully fill out a bit as she recovers from her pregnancy. Being so
young she still exhibits some playful kitten behaviour but is mainly
settled and not at all silly. She has a sleek, shiny black coat with
white markings on her chest, arm(?)pits and belly.
Princess is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed, and is
available for $170.

DIAMOND
- Female DSH Kitten 6 weeks old.
Diamond is Princess' kitten and Pearl's (rehomed) sister and is about 6
weeks old. She is outgoing, confident and a little cheeky. Unlike her
sister she is curious, adventurous and a little dare devil. She enjoys
attention and a cuddle. And as you can see by the photo she is a chip
off the old block and beautiful - just like her mama. She also has the
exact same markings in white as her sister and mum on her chest,
arm(?)pits and belly.
Diamond is not desexed yet but will be before she can be adopted when
she is old enough.
She is microchipped, vaccinated and wormed and is available for $170.

CHESTER
- Male DSH Cat about 5 years
Chester was rescued from the pound after finding himself there when he
was caught in trap for feral cats in Bungendore. He has obviously been
loved and well-fed as he is overweight and was already desexed. He is a
beautiful, large ginger and white boy. He is affectionate, smoochy and
vocal. He has the softest, silkiest coat and LOVES being brushed and
patted. He is getting used to being an inside cat which is a must for
him given his health issues. He needs a nice comfy spot near the window
where he can watch the world go by or - even better - an outdoor cat
run. He needs a committed, loving owner to shower him with affection
and take care of him and he will return the love ten fold. He doesn't
seem fazed by our dogs - in fact he barely gives them a second glance.
He has become a favourite in our household so we want to make sure he
goes to the right home.
If you think you can give Chester the perfect home, please contact me.
Medical Notes
Chester has some medical problems that mean he must be an inside only
cat and sole cat in the household. He has had all his vet work done
including some recent dental work and his teeth are now clean and in
good condition.
Chester's adoption fee of $80 includes vaccination, microchipping and
desexing
